Sorting Your Makeup!

If you're anything like me and own waaay too much make up, you won't know where to put it.. But I have the answer!

The perfect answer to your problem, this cutlery tray from IKEA for £1.50. As soon as I saw this, I knew it would be perfect to hold not only cutlery, but make up. I like the way it's in sections so you can use the different sections for different things. For example, I have an eyeshadow section, nail section, etc. This is perfect for me, as I have a gap in my dressing table which is slides into perfectly (I had to chop the edges off with a pair of scissors to get it fit to start with).

Alternatively, a cheaper option is to make the sections yourself! I have a drawer next to the gap in my dressing table, and I wanted to sort out all of my make up into different sections instead of it being just thrown in there all together. I went and found some cardboard in my recycling box, cut out different lengths to make a box and hot glue gunned it all together. I made 3 long compartments for eye liners, lip gloss/balms and mascaras and 2 smaller ones for eyeshadow pots and lipsticks. I think this is a perfect idea if you're looking for a cheap way to sort out your make up, and you can place the sections where ever you would like!

Do you sort your make up into different sections? If so, how do you do it?

Fashion Trend: Christmas Jumpers!

I don't know about anyone else, but recently, I've been in love with wearing jumpers! They're perfect for the weather, as they're warm, but also airy when it gets clammy. I've been wearing a lot of chunky knit jumpers with vest tops underneath, but I've realised Christmas jumpers are becoming a big trend.

This year it seems that Christmas jumpers are becoming more popular than any other years, and many different designs are coming out. I think the coloured jumpers with patterns such as snowflakes and reindeers are perfect for Winter, and to get you into the Christmas spirit. Although some people tend to go for the novelty jumpers which have big pictures of Santa or a reindeer in the centre.

Christmas jumpers are also lovely because girls can get away with wearing male jumpers, and many are unisex anyway!

Will you be wearing Christmas jumpers this year? What type do you intend to wear?

Fashion Trend: Working Boots!

Recently, I've seen a few people wearing 'working boots' with their outfits. To begin with, I though it was a bit strange, but I've grown to love them!

I would say the style has been taken from 'Timberland' boots, as they have the same shape and features. Although they're a trend at the moment, I've struggled to find them in shops, but finally, I grabbed myself a pair from Shoe Zone for £16.99! You can buy them in 4 colours - camel, pink, black and brown.

Personally, my favourite is the camel colour, and I think they're absolutely gorgeous when they're paired with the right outfit! I think I'll wear mine with jeans and a checkered shirt. But I'm also going to experiment with dresses to make a more unique look.

I think the pink boots are quite cute too, although they give off more of a novelty feel.

What do you think about the new trend of 'working boots'? Is it fashionable, or stupid?

Pandora vs. Thomas Sabo!

Before purchasing my Pandora bracelet, I had to debate with myself whether it was worth it, because I already owned a Thomas Sabo. There were a lot of questions that went through my mind before I ended up purchasing one! Did I really need another charm bracelet? Was it worth it?

The Bracelet
Firstly, I thought about the actual bracelet. The Thomas Sabo, which is a very pretty bracelet, which seems very unique, although there is a lot of fake look-a-likes available from retailers like 'Claires'. On the other hand, the same can be said about Pandoras. I think Pandora's are very simplistic, but effective. Both bracelets seem effective, but I think the Pandora can be put with any outfit! Also, the Pandora is measured to fit your arm, instead of being one size. This does seem to cause a problem however, as if you're losing weight like me, your bracelet tends to get too big!!

The Charms
Now, a big thing for me was the charms, I wanted pretty, and affordable charms. Personally, I think the Thomas Sabo charms are the most affordable charms on the market, and there is also a huge array of different designs. The same goes for Pandora, although the charms can be pretty pricey. My secret to charm bracelets is eBay! There is no better idea than to go and search on eBay for Pandora and Thomas Sabo charms! Charms which are meant to be £70 are for sale for at least £19! Yes, they're second hand, but who can say no to a cheap, genuine charm?! Another positive point of Pandora bracelets, is they fit many other charms from other brands, such as 'Chamilia'! You can also buy fake charms, which I am pretty guilty of doing! Although it isn't recommended, they're the answer to all of your charm bracelet prayers! The cupcake charm (£4 from Avon) and Bambi charm (£2.99 from eBay) on my Thomas Sabo are both fake Thomas Sabo's and fit lovely, and I don't think you can tell them from the real charms!

After debating for a while, I couldn't help myself but to buy myself a Pandora. I think it was definitely worth it, as now I can ask for charms for my Birthday, Christmas, and special occasions, and they will always remind me of the memories of that day.

Do you own a Pandora or Thomas Sabo, or are you planning on buying one?

FCUK The Colour Palette!

Last Christmas, my cousin bought me this lovely palette by FCUK. Me being me, I haven't used it until recently because I thought the packaging was too cute to ruin and the eyeshadows looked perfectly smooth!

I've been using these eyeshadows for the last few days whenever it was physically possible. The colours are incredibly pigmented, with or without a primer, although I prefer to use one. My favourite colours in the pack are definitely the dark colours which can be used for a smokey eye. I think the best pigment is definitely shown in the black and dark grey, although the other colours are super pigmented too.

The palette also includes lip glosses and brushes in a little drawer underneath. I haven't used these yet, but the lip glosses look lovely and the there is a lovely range of colour.

I would recommend this palette to anyone, and it's definitely one of my new favourites! Not only are the products inside good quality, but the packaging is also adorable and so compact! I've had a search around, and if you'd like to buy one of these palettes yourself, you can buy one here

Have you ever tried this palette? If not, what palette is your favourite?

Talking To Spirits?!

Today's blog is going to be a little bit different than the normal beauty and fashion posts, because last night I went to see Psychic Sally Morgan live! If you don't know who Sally Morgan is, you can find out - here

Before arriving, I was pretty nervous, because it was the first time I'd ever been to see a medium, and I was a bit scared incase she came to me. But me and my mom put a card in her little box anyway, to see if she would be able to speak to our nan, who died earlier in the year. Also, before entering the hall, I met Sally's husband, John, and he signed my programme! He was absolutely lovely, and so down to earth!

From the very beginning of the show, Sally was sensing spirits and guiding them towards people, which was pretty fascinating. She'd say a name, or a few names, and describe what she could see, for example, 'I have a boy saying Ian, and he's young, about 11..' and someone who it applied to would stand up and validate the message.

After the show, Sally did a signing and she was the loveliest woman ever! I congratulated her on her weight loss, and told her I've also lost a lot of weight and she had a conversation with me about it and told me I look healthy and amazing. She is so down to earth and lovely.

Since last night, it has totally opened my eyes to different situations and made me realise our loved ones are there when we want them to be. I know many people are very sceptical towards mediums and what they do, but I believe what I saw last night was absolutely amazing! If anyone has the opportunity to see/meet Sally Morgan, grab it with both hands!

Do you believe in spirits? Do you believe you have seen one?

Styling Your Bedroom!

If you're anything like me, you will like changing your bedroom around constantly. I've had my bedroom in the same position with the same furniture for quite a while now, and I thought it was time to have a good change around!

On Saturday, I went to Ikea and chose out a new bed frame and mattress, and had them delivered to my house the next day, which all together came to £245 (including the price of them taking my old mattress away!) Personally, I think the vintage 'princess' bed frames are a hit, and will never go out of 'fashion'. If you're looking for a nice and easy but fashionable bed, they're definitely the way to go!

While I was in Ikea, I also picked up these wall stickers, which included 4 sheets of stickers all the same! I took most of my posters down and stuck a few of them up in different places in my room. I think they're beautiful, and make your room look very mature! It's also a bonus that they're very simple to put up, and don't ruin your walls when you pull them down!

Lastly, an easy way to style up your room is simply add a few fairy lights to wherever you can! I've added a strip to my blinds, my alcove and a small string to the end of my bed. I think it looks very effective at night when all the lights are off except the fairy lights! Again, they're a big help to make your room that little bit more mature, but still cutesy.

Do you have any of these things in your room, if not, what do you have that adds that personal touch?
