Styling Your Bedroom!

If you're anything like me, you will like changing your bedroom around constantly. I've had my bedroom in the same position with the same furniture for quite a while now, and I thought it was time to have a good change around!

On Saturday, I went to Ikea and chose out a new bed frame and mattress, and had them delivered to my house the next day, which all together came to £245 (including the price of them taking my old mattress away!) Personally, I think the vintage 'princess' bed frames are a hit, and will never go out of 'fashion'. If you're looking for a nice and easy but fashionable bed, they're definitely the way to go!

While I was in Ikea, I also picked up these wall stickers, which included 4 sheets of stickers all the same! I took most of my posters down and stuck a few of them up in different places in my room. I think they're beautiful, and make your room look very mature! It's also a bonus that they're very simple to put up, and don't ruin your walls when you pull them down!

Lastly, an easy way to style up your room is simply add a few fairy lights to wherever you can! I've added a strip to my blinds, my alcove and a small string to the end of my bed. I think it looks very effective at night when all the lights are off except the fairy lights! Again, they're a big help to make your room that little bit more mature, but still cutesy.

Do you have any of these things in your room, if not, what do you have that adds that personal touch?

Autumn/Fall Nail Varnish

I'm one of those people who finds it hard to step out of their comfort zone, especially with nail varnish colours. I usually stick to black and white matte nails. However, this year I'm trying to stick to each season and match my nails up with them.

I've been browsing around on the Boots website, and looking at different colours, and these three are definitely my favourite! I think during Fall/Autumn you can never go wrong with browns and dark reds. Especially if it has a bit of shimmer and glitter. I think Essie's 'Bahama Mama' (left) and 'Decadent Dish' (right) are good examples of perfect Autumn/Fall colours.

I also love the look of Models Own's 'Beetlejuice'. The colour isn't so much a stereotypical Autumn/Fall colour, but I think it's an easy shade to get away with, especially because of the shine to it. I'll definitely be looking into buying this myself this Autumn!

What nail varnish have you been wearing/will you be wearing this season?

Recent eBay Purchases!

If you're anything like me, your life revolves around eBay. (If not, then why?!). It is possibly the best website around, I mean, how can finding bargains not be amazing?

While snooting around a few days ago, I found a blue chunky cable knit cardigan, which is in the style of a baseball jacket. I absolutely loved the baseball jacket trend, and I was absolutely gutted when they weren't seen as a 'fashion statement' anymore, so seeing this cardigan was a very good surprise! When I first came across the cardigan it was on sale for 99 pence, but as time progressed it became £4.50 with £4.00 postage. To me, that is an absoloute bargain! Especially the postage, as I expect the cardigan to be heavy.

I've been looking for a gold collar necklace for quite a while but have not been tempted enough to dig into my purse for more than £10, personally, I think Topshop and River Island's prices on these kind of necklaces are ridiculous! So I was pretty happy when I came across this collar on eBay for £6.99! The description says it's from ASOS and is brand new, so to me, £6.99 and 99p postage is a bargain (especially compared to Topshop, River Island and how much it would have originally been from ASOS). If you would like to buy this collar yourself, you can buy it here.

Both items are going to be sent 2nd class and should be received on or before the 1st of November, so I may write a blog post when they arrive explaining if they were as described.

What do you think of the items I have purchased? What's your best purchase from eBay?

Shirts Are Da' Bomb?!

All shirts - £12 from Matalan

Recently I've been absolutely loving shirts! Especially these three from Matalan! I think they're perfect for Autumn/Fall, but can be layered to make perfect outfits for Winter too. I love the simple look of the denim shirt, but I also love the different designs, such as checkered and dotted.

The shirt is a simple yet effective piece of clothing, as they can be left as they are for a more casual approach, but can also be 'blinged up' with accessories such as necklaces or scarves and watches or bracelets. They would also go perfectly with any simple coat, cardigan, jacket etc.

I also like the fact the shirt looks just as effective when tucked into trousers and skirts, as when they're untucked!

What do you think? Do you own any shirts? I definitely need to invest in these three!!

'Soot Ball Ballistic' Bath Bomb Review!

Hola! Yesterday I received a big box of goodies I had bought online from 'Lush', and I just couldn't wait to jump in the bath and use them.. Maybe just because I'm a nerd and was excited to write a blog post about them, but we'll pretend that isn't the case!!

I do love all Lush products, some more than others, because I think it's very special that they're all hand made and made with all vegan materials. Although, I do believe some of the products are very over priced!

The first bath bomb I wanted to try was 'Soot Ball Ballistic', which is currently online and in store for £2.50 (click here to buy this little fella). When I saw this bath bomb online I fell in love almost instantly. The two big eyes were just a killer for me, who'd be able to resist them?! They're so cute! Although, I wasn't too sure on the colour.

The size of the bath bomb is average, nothing too big, but nothing too small. Just enough to fit in the palm of your hand. And of course, just as it's name states, it is very 'sooty.' No, it's not real soot, but the dust from the bath bomb does get all over your hands and basically anywhere it touches! Soot Ball is a brown/black powder with little shimmers of gold in, which glitter in the light and look very very pretty!

As soon as the bath bomb touched the water, it instantly started fizzing and changing the bath water. To my surprise, although there was a slight appearance of a brown colour to begin with, the water wasn't changed to a murky black as I expected, but a lovely orangey citrus colour, which was very relaxing! You can see the soap instantly foaming through the melting bath bomb, and you straight away get a whiff of the most relaxing smell.

It did take a while for me to realise what the smell was exactly, but after being in the bath a while, it was easy to recognise the smell as a citrus and frankincense mixture. To me, most of the Lush products are very strong smelling, sometimes overwhelming, but 'Soot Ball' is more of a relaxing smell than an 'oh my gosh I have a headache!!!' smell.

The bath bomb did take a while to disperse, and I did end up trying to crumble it down in my fingers, but all in all, I think it's a fabulous bath bomb. My skin feels very soft after being in the bath for about half an hour, but doesn't feel oily or sticky. I can also still smell the scent on my skin which is very pleasant. I don't think it's my favourite, as I am still a very big fan of 'Butterball' (you can buy 'Butterball' here) and don't think that could ever be beaten.

So, overall, I would recommend 'Soot Ball', as it has many positives, but I also don't think it gives a gob smacking response. But, what else can you expect from a £2.50 bath bomb? Personally, I think it was definitely worth the £2.50!

What do you think, have you tried Soot Ball? If not which Lush bath bombs have you tried?

Topshop Martina T Bar Geek Shoes Review!

Today I'm reviewing the shoes which seem to be all the craze at the moment, the 'Martina T Bar Geek' shoes from 'Topshop'! I've seen so many people wearing these recently, and I decided, a few weeks ago to buy myself a pair!

The shoes themselves are £30 and can be bought in 3 colours - white, black, and coral. Personally, I think I like the black the best, but since only white was in stock when I bought them, I decided I was too impatient to wait for black to be in stock! The sizes are pretty good, as I have quite big feet, but managed to get my size!

I'd say the sizing comes quite big. I'm a size 9, but the size 9s were like boats on my feet so I tried a size 8. The size 8 is still a little too big, but a size 7 would be too small. So I definitely would recommend buying these in store instead of online, so you can see which size is best for you.

Now, I know you may be thinking, £30 is a lot of money for a pair of shoes. But what else would you expect from Topshop! Me and my mom were definitely very unsure whether they would be worth the money, but decided to take the plunge and see. After wearing the shoes for at least 3-4 weeks, I can definitely say, are they worth the money? YES, 100%!

When I first bought the shoes and tried wearing them, they were very uncomfortable on the backs of my heels, which caused me to think I may have made a mistake buying them as I couldn't walk in them. But instead of taking them back, I bought some gel heel cushions from Asda for about £3 and stuck one in the heel of each shoe, and since that, I've had no trouble at all!

After wearing them over and over again for a few weeks, I have realised a slight bit of wear showing. Nothing major, but the white is peeling slightly, and the dots on the toes are slowly coming off or at least becoming easy to pick off. I also found the buckle quite tight to begin with, but with a lot of wear it has become a lot softer and looser, which you can decide for yourself whether that's a good or bad thing!

Overall, I think the Martina T Bar Geek Shoes are definitely a brilliant buy. If you can look past the cost of them, they're a lovely pair of leather shoes, which go with any outfit you could think of. I've worn them with many dresses, and sometimes with just tops and leggings. I also think they go lovely with a pair of frilly socks, although I wear them with no socks.

So, what do you think? Tell me what you think in the comments below, whether you like them or not, and if you would sacrifice £30 to buy some!
